Armonia · Drama

Every child on stage.

Drama is a key component of Armonia and is part of one package: music, drama and dance performance, together. Children work with voice, character and movement, and along the way they grow in confidence and learn to carry a piece as a team.

What a session feels like
A rehearsal room, not a classroom.
Sessions run in small groups, and the same group returns week after week, so a scene has time to grow. Children try a moment one way and then another: how a line sounds, how a character stands, how a movement lands. Getting it wrong in front of friends is part of the work, and that is where the confidence comes from.
What a performance feels like

The performances children work toward are ELC occasions, with the whole school behind them. At a drama night nobody auditions for a place: every child takes a part, and every child gets a moment at the centre of the stage. A Night in Sherwood filled the hall with families for an evening the children carried from start to finish. Read the story on our blog.
